Connect Zoom
Link your Zoom account so every Zoom booking gets its own meeting and join link, created automatically.
Connect Zoom once and you never create or paste a meeting link by hand again. Whenever someone books a meeting on a booking type whose location is set to Zoom, DayOtter creates a scheduled Zoom meeting on your account and drops the join link into the confirmation email and the calendar invite - for you and for the person booking.
Zoom is optional and per-booking-type: connect it if you host on Zoom, leave it off if you don't. Nothing else about DayOtter depends on it.
Connect Zoom
- Go to Settings → Calendars.
- Find the Zoom card (“Connect Zoom to auto-create a meeting for every Zoom booking”) and click Connect.
- You're sent to Zoom's authorization screen. Review the access it asks for and click Allow.
- You land back in DayOtter with Zoom shown as connected.
Use it on a booking type
- Open a booking type under Booking Types, or create one.
- Set its Location to Zoom and save.
- That's it - the next time someone books that type, DayOtter creates the Zoom meeting and adds the join link to the confirmation, the reminders, and the calendar event.
Note
Rescheduling a Zoom booking keeps the same meeting and just updates its time; cancelling the booking cancels the Zoom meeting too. You never have to open Zoom yourself.
What DayOtter can access
DayOtter requests only what the integration needs: it reads your basic Zoom profile to identify the connected account, and it creates meetings on your behalf. It does not read your existing meetings, recordings, or contacts.
Your Zoom tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM), and the data is used solely to provide this scheduling feature - never for advertising, and never to train AI models.
Disconnect or remove Zoom
- In DayOtter: go to Settings → Calendars, find the Zoom card, and click Disconnect. DayOtter stops creating Zoom meetings immediately and deletes its stored token for your account.
- In Zoom, to fully revoke access: sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage → Added Apps, find DayOtter, and click Remove.
If a Zoom link doesn't appear
- The booking type's location isn't set to Zoom → open the booking type, set it, and test with a fresh booking.
- Zoom shows as disconnected under Settings → Calendars → click Connect and re-authorize.
- You changed your Zoom password or removed the app in Zoom → reconnect from Settings → Calendars.
