Paid bookings take money at the moment of scheduling: the full price of a consultation, or a deposit that holds the slot. It filters out flaky bookings, guarantees you're paid for your time, and turns your booking page into a lightweight checkout.
Deposits are a gentle middle ground - enough commitment to deter no-shows without charging the whole fee up front.
